Three Secrets to Free Web Traffic
Free Traffic Tip #1: Share Your Knowledge
You don't need to be a PR genius
to get published. Here's the easy way to online publishing success. Keep
an ongoing list of websites and e publications that may benefit from your
expertise. Each month email every publisher on your list an article you've
written with a note stating that they are free to publish your article as
long as a link to your site is included. As your online articles proliferate
so will your web traffic and search engine rankings. . . .
Free Traffic Tip #2: Give away Free Viral Reports
Articles are great, but when you package them as free ebooklets or reports, there is a greater "perceived value". In addition to giving away free reports, allow people to give away your free reports to their visitors. Over time your advertising will gain great exposure at no cost to you.
Be sure that your branding and company info is heavily dispersed throughout all free reports.
Free Traffic Tip #3: Offer Testimonials
Testimonials can bring you traffic and top of the mind awareness. The next time you are pleased with an online buying experience, take a moment to email a brief testimonial to the web master. Be sure to include your name, company name and a link to your website within the body of the testimonial. Many web masters will be thrilled with your feedback, and broadcast it on their site. Free advertising for you.

Attention Getting Holiday Gifts & Cards
Make a statement with creative holiday cards and gifts crafted especially for your company. A few ideas from the DivaDesignWorld team, include:
1) Talking greeting card. Send a postcard that directs recipients to a page on your site where they can see/hear you and your staff singing a classic holiday tune. Great for companies with clients around the world. Put’s a warm and friendly face to the organization.
2) Promotional Card Set. Create one or two note cards that your clients/prospects can use in the new year (perhaps as thank you notes). This holiday gift can double as a self promotion item. The front of the cards should be cute or clever, while at the same time subtly relating to your business. The back of the card should have an unobtrusive image of your logo and a byline that says ‘compliments of acmeco.com’.
EXAMPLE
Let’s say that you own a medial clinic. You could design cards in which the front has a compelling picture of a joyful, laughing child. On the inside of the card it could say ‘laughter is the best medicine’. The back would have your logo and a byline that says ‘compliments of Dr. Smith – treating families since 1985’.
You would then package these cards with envelopes and stamps (if your budget allows). And if you really wanted to go the extra mile you could include a sheet of business related humor
3) Book set including bookmark, booklet, and custom label. Wholesale/discount books can be purchased at amazingly low prices. This year purchase books that appeal to each of your client’s interests. Insert your custom label on the inside cover, along with a brief holiday greeting from you. Also insert your bookmark. Your clients will love it – and they will remember your generosity every time they open the book.

Perfect and Publish Your Elevator Pitch for Free
Ten Tips for Perfecting Your Pitch
Tip#1: Include the Essentials
Your pitch should include your name, title, company, target market, and
a “hook”. The hook should be benefit oriented and tell what makes you or
your company special. For example “We are images consultants” is a feature
oriented statement. “We help women look and feel their best” is a benefits
oriented statement.
Keep it Flexible
Many marketing gurus will say to ‘rehearse your elevator pitch’.
While it is true that you must be able to deliver your pitch at
a moments notice, you must be cautious not to sound canned. Under what conditions,
and to what people are you likely to deliver your pitch? Most likely these
people have diverse interests and needs. It is important that your pitch
accommodate these needs, therefore you must be able to adjust it on the
fly.
Project, Enunciate, Exuberate
When introducing yourself you must
speak clearly, convey enthusiasm, and demonstrate genuine interest in your
prospect. This means that whether you are talking to the janitor or the
CEO you must treat that person as the most important person in the world.
Spin your Speech
At every networking meeting there are numerous financial
advisors, insurance agents, widget salesmen, and marketing professionals.
To stand out from the crowd you must spin your speech. Tell who you are
in a clever or creative fashion. For example: Instead of saying “I’m a civil
law attorney”, say “I fight for the little guy.” Change “I’m a loan officer”
to “I specialize in dead presidents”. A dentist may introduce herself as
“I keep people smiling.”
Name Drop
Have a big client, special credentials
or won a recent award? Don’t give a laundry list of every aspect of your
achievements, but definitely mention one or two highlights.
Listen First
Speak Last People tend to be most interested in people who are interested
in them. That is why when meeting others it is best to learn about them
and their needs before delivering your elevator pitch. This enables you
to demonstrate a genuine interest in the person (and your interest must
be genuine). It also allows you to tweak your pitch to meet the unique needs
of your immediate prospect.
Sample Elevator Pitches:
- "I keep your company
out of Dilbert's comic strip! I'm Jane Smith, a management consultant specializing
in change. If your company is experiencing rapid growth or change I can
offer experience and wisdom to keep your employees happy and your profits
in the black."
- “I’m a financial savior. If your company needs capital
for expansion and the big guys won’t help, I’m the guy to call. I help cash
strapped companies get the money they need, when they need it. From computers
hardware to manufacturing equipment I can help.
- I’m an evangelist for
better business, a stronger community, and increased employment. I help
hundreds of businesses each year to increase their profits, connect with
the community and achieve over all growth through participation in the Chamber
of Commerce. Are you interested in growing your business?

Noble New Year's Resolutions
Forget about losing weight, getting promoted, or any of the standard New Year’s Resolutions. This year focus your resolution on helping others. When your actions stem from a sincere heart you’ll be amazed at the success and wealth they bring to your life.
Four Noble Resolutions:
1) Instead of making a resolution to get promoted, make a resolution to mentor one person in your business circle.
2) Rather than resolving to lose weight, make a commitment to volunteer at the local food bank at least three times this year.
3) Instead of resolving to make more friends, dedicate this year to being a friend to someone in need. For example, that shy girl in your office, or the new kid at your club. 4) Rather than making a resolution to get fit, volunteer to coach a ball team. Coaching a group of squirrely 8 year olds will keep you on the move.
